Since July 2019 Chapter 47 has been involved in supplying food to the veterans villages in the Inland Empire. This all started with a meeting with March Veterans Village - Betty Volk and Chapter 47.

Out of that meeting the decision was made that Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 47 would start collecting food donations or monetary donations to keep the pantry filled and then in August Loma Linda veterans village opened up and we were responsible to maintain food for their pantry also Beaumont Liberty Village opened up.

Now with volunteer for veterans and Chapter 47 we supply food weekly to these Veterans villages in the Inland Empire there are approximately 450 to 500 homeless veterans and their families living at these villages.

At Christmas time we along with Feeding America gave out over 350 frozen turkeys with all the fixings to these veterans villages we also helped with barbecues and gift giving to the children we also supplied some live Christmas trees with all the decorations.

This has been a huge undertaking for our chapter and it cost money to do this so we are looking for contributions and donations of food for these pantries and villages.

We would love for you to join us

and be a part of what we are doing.

George Swift

President - VVA47
