The Pantry Program

Beginning in July 2019, VVA Chapter 47 along with the Volunteers for Veterans Foundation has been supplying food to the Veteran Villages located in the Inland Empire. These villages house previously homeless veteran's and their families. March Veterans Village, Loma Linda Veterans Village and Liberty Village (Beaumont) house from 450 to 500 veterans between the three.

Most of these veterans are disabled and receive little to zero income or financial support. Donations are critical to ensure Chapter 47 can provide fresh milk and eggs weekly. Canned goods are also donated and/or purchased and delivered every week as needed.

During Christmas time, Chapter 47 along with Feeding America handed out over 350 turkey dinners, live decorated Christmas trees, and gifts to the children at the villages. Without donations, we can not continue to help feed the growing amount of previously homeless veterans and their families!
